Environment: our collective karma • Karma = action & results of actions • The earth we have • Global warming : The NW passage & Territorial claims • Violence & war: Afghanistan past 2011; Iran: 2014 • North-South im-balance: • G20 in Seoul • Global solution required • Consumerism: What you need we will provide for • Needs and Greed; Pain avoidance and pleasure seeking • We can not continue this self-destruction • The way out: • Interbeing • Compassion for all

  4. Sangha – the most precious jewel • The Buddha of the Future • The pocket of resistance • The boat that can carry us to the other shore • The OI noblest and most important task • 3 immediate benefits: • Supportive environment • Easier learning and practice • Round edges

Sangha building – what we need • A stable & comfortable location • True practice: • Joy and happiness • Transformation • Genuine love • Loving kindness, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity • Brotherhood and Sisterhood • Practice activities: • MT recitation ceremonies • DOMs and retreats • Beginning Anew and Shining the Light • Social activities

  6. Communications • Speak out and truly listen: • Do not allow Internal Knots to form • “Tuongkinhnhu tan”: • Respect as “new guests” • Decision making: • Consensus base • Trust sangha wisdom • Mirrors

  7. Dana & seva • Time and material resources • “Ciboulette” • Deep listening and Loving speech • A gift and a spiritual practice • The means and the ends (to and from a loving heart) • A shoulder to cry on
