Homework • Spelling Menu will be sent home on Day 1 of spelling instruction each week for your child • Math supplemental practice pages • Sent home nightly and due the next day • Math Facts • Practice math facts 10 minutes or more a night using websites, flashcards, pencil/paper, etc. • Reading • 20 minutes of more of reading a night – may include supplemental pages as well

Midquarter Reports and Conferences • Reports will be sent home mid-quarter to note student progress: • Academically • Behaviorally • Will only be sent home with students where there are academic or behavioral concerns • Conferences – Mandatory at the end of 1st Quarter. Can be requested in the Spring by either the teacher or parents.

General Information • Snack – between 1:30-2:00 • Dairy & Peanut Free Please! • Nutritious Snack • Suggestions: fresh fruit & vegetables, applesauce, fruit cups, plain rice cakes, wheat and saltine crackers • Only non-food birthday treats please (pencils, stickers, notepads) • PTA provides snacks for Holiday parties – please do not send candy or treats- info to come! • PTA Fundraisers—Money goes towards buying items for the students to use in the school/classroom!

Class Dojo • Students earn points for good behavior, bringing planner signed and turning homework in on time • Parents can stay connected by downloading the app and signing up • There will also be quarterly parties for students who earn a high percentage for good points vs. negative points • Students can lose points for unwanted behavior (talking, not being respectful, etc.)

25. Coin Rewards • Students are given coins for showing positive behavior (ALL teachers, lunchroom/recess, hallway, etc.) • Coins are never taken away. • Students can use their coins to “purchase” items though our classroom or the school, on Friday.
