Summer School Introducedwww.efsa.unsa.ba/summer The Summer School (Summer Term) at the School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo (SEBS) is an intensive five-week program that includes a wide variety of courses. Most of them are thaught in Bosnian, but some courses are offered in English as well. Courses are open to Sarajevo University students, to university graduates, and to students from the universities abroad who wish to: • progress through their programme more quickly • to compensate for a poor performance in a previous semester • to spread a heavy workload during the Fall and Spring semester • pick up a necessary prerequisite • provide greater flexibility to enable the completion of a double major combination. The Summer term maintains the same high academic standards that are applied during the regular academic year. All courses offered are taught and examined to the same standard as normal semester courses. Courses are equivalent in credit to those offered in the Fall and Spring semesters. N.   49. Institute for Research in Economics and Business • Institute is an organisational unit of the School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo. Its basic activities in the area of research are related to the studies and research projects, feasibility studies, programs, expert reports, expert opinions and continuous consulting. Owing to these activities, Institute has gained the leading market position in this area. Since its establishment, Institute has contracted and completed over 170 contracts in the fields of macroeconomic and microeconomic research, investment, enterprise development, privatization programs, enterprise and bank organisation, consulting services, etc..   50. Center for Intl. Cooperation • Its main task is to establish, develop and enhance the cooperation between the School and faculties of economics and related institutions in the world, aimed at the exchange of scientific achievements in the fields of economics and business, exchange of professors and teaching staff with other faculties in the world, student exchange, exchange of professional periodicals and literature, organization of joint teaching activities, and organization and conducting of joint research projects. The Centre’s major goal in the forthcoming period is to initiate and implement the process of international accreditation of the School. N.
