  4. Background OF PMS • A Poll Monitoring System introduced in Valpoi Bye Poll 2010 in stand alone mode. • A fully connected PMS was introduced in CCP elections of March 2011.

PMS Features The system maintains database of the voters with details such as • Photo, EPIC or non-EPIC Voter(the type of document with which the Non-EPIC voter was identified), Sex, Age group • Besides this the system maintains • MISSINGvoters (shifted with or without family linkages), • DEADvoters whose names could not be deleted prior to the election, • BLINDvoters, • SENIOR CITIZENS • PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED voters describing nature of the handicap and • names of those voters who are PRISONERS / DETUNES. This System also facilitates capturing data of • challenged votes, • votes not casted under 49(O) and 49(M), • tendered votes, • proxy votes and • companion voter details.
