  3. Nikolaus Kopernikus 1473-1543 • Polsk astronom, hävdade att solen var centrum i universum. Det kallas heliocentrisk världsbild. Kopernikus sa att plane- terna kretsade i cirkel- formade banor

  4. Galilei och Kepler • Johannes Kepler 1571-1630 hävdade att planeterna kret- sade i elliptiska banor runt solen. Galilei Galileo 1564-1642 byggde ett eget teleskop och kunde se att Keplers idéer stämde.

  5. Isaac Newton 1643-1727 • Isaac Newton formulerade en teori för gravita- tionen.

  6. Albert Einstein 1879 - 1955 Fick Nobelpriset 1921. Formulerade relativitetsteorin. Visade t ex att ljus kan påverkas av gravitation. En av de största fysikerna genom tiderna.

  7. Edwin Hubble 1889 –1953) • Hubble visade att det fanns fler galaxer än Vintergatan. Han upptäckte också att universum expan- derar.

  8. Stephen Hawking 1942- Har t ex sagt att svarta hål kan stråla ut energi s.k. ”hawkingstrålning”. Har utvecklat en teori från Einsteins relativitetetsteori
