  1. Supply Chain Management Minor Offered by College of Business Department of Management Sciences • Why SCM as your minor? • Supply chain is the most important relationship among firms. Others (competitor, strategic alliance, collaborator, investor) may build around it. • Supply chain is the organic active channel for the transmission of materials, information, and financials. • Supply chain involves concrete firm operations including capacity planning, technology solution, production scheduling, sourcing /purchasing, inventory management, transportation, the linkage with the customer service, sales, promotion, other marketing activities, IT, e-commerce etc.

Supply Chain Management Minor Offered by College of Business Department of Management Sciences • Who may consider SCM minor? • Almost all college of business students. • Students considering management/operationsconsulting, investment/commercialbanking, distribution, logistics, retail, procurement / sourcing.

Supply Chain Management Minor Offered by College of Business Department of Management Sciences • Aims • To provide students with a general knowledge of logistics and supply chain management. • To give students a solid training in making decisions related to the design, planning, control, and improvement of supply chain systems. • To develop students’ abilities to define, formulate and solve problems in a wide range of industries such as high-tech, transportation, automotive, health care, and retail.

Supply Chain Management Minor Offered by College of Business Department of Management Sciences • Requirements • BBA core course to be included in the minor • CB2201 Operations Management* • *Double counting is permissible for the CB College/major and the minor requirements under the 4-year structure. • Required Courses (9 credit units) • MS3124 Global Supply Chain Management • MS3322 Quality Management • CB2011 Solving Business Problems with Spreadsheet Modeling* • *Double counting is not permissible for the College Elective requirement and the minor requirement. Students have to choose another College Elective to fulfill the College Elective requirement.
