Our Team Members: Our SMART Goal Megan Corley Alexandra Phillip Jordan Clark Loc Lai Tommy Metzger Roly Morales FazelMukati Michael Obermeyer Team Happy Paws! will raise $1,000 for Shaggy’s Corner of the Christian HELP Organization by November 7th, 2012 to feed the hungry pets of Central Florida’s unemployed community members through a series of 8 fundraising events.

  3. Our Client: Shaggy’s Corner Their Mission: To help feed the hungry pets of Central Florida’s unemployed. Losing your job does not mean having to lose your family. • Shaggy’s Corner is a service provided by Christian HELP, a Casselberry charity that helps find jobs and provide material assistance to anyone that comes to their door.

  4. Our Opportunity • Christian HELP assists unemployed families that are searching for jobs and material needs to prevent homelessness. • The Problem: When a family is struggling, pets are often… • Abandoned • Taken to a shelter (sometimes euthanized) • Left to starve • Our purpose: To give Shaggy’s Corner the ability to distribute food to every pet within these struggling families. • The goal: To keep pets off the streets, well-fed, and with their loving families.

Our Achievements • Team Happy Paws! has raised $1,369.59 in monetary donations for Shaggy’s Corner to provide pet food for the pets of unemployed and struggling families. • 27 items of pet food including: • 15lb. bag of dog food (The chosen recipient rescued 3 dogs) • 10lb. bag of cat food (The same chosen recipient rescued 7 cats) • 5lb. bag of puppy food • 24 cans of pet food

Sustainable Impact • The Central Florida Veg Festprovided Shaggy’s Corner with a free space to table for donations for being a non-profit charity benefiting animals. • The Fleet Peeples Dog Park, the venue for Megan’s “Fall Fun for your Fuzzy Friends Event” could be used to host regular events to raise money, food, and awareness for Shaggy’s Corner. • We provided our client Vicki with: • A custom banner to use in future events. • A Shaggy’s Corner Facebook page to advertise future events and to raise awareness.
