  2. Hvem udbyder og ansætter i fellowship • Dansk Kirurgisk Selskab • Bedømmelses- og ansættelsesudvalg: • DKS formand • DKS næstformand • Kirurgisk speciallæge med interesse for og indsigt i øvre laparoskopisk kirurgi • Consultant PhD Teodor Grantcharov, St. Michael's Hospital, Canada.

  3. Fellowship periode • 1. juli 2011 – 30. juni 2012

  4. Hvem kan ansøge fellowship • Speciallæger i kirurgi • Indenfor 18 måneder efter afsluttet hoveduddannelsesforløb

  5. Formål med fellowship • obtain self-proficiency in upper laparoscopy (gastric surgery, abdominal wall surgery, obesity surgery etc.) • to carry out treatment of this type of patients at specialist level from referral to completion. • it is expected that the doctor, when returning to Denmark, has an experience that makes him likely to act as a specialist in this field in Denmark. • http://www.stmichaelshospital.com/

  6. Evaluering af fellowship • St. Michael's Hospital has extensive experience in recruitment of foreign doctors in fellowship • St. Michael´s have an evaluation system (developed by University of Toronto), where the doctor will be evaluated based on criteria established several times during their stay. • The doctor will undergo a final evaluation that is sent to Danish Surgical Society.

  7. Udvælgelseskriterier • Speciallægeanerkendelse i Kirurgi • Begrundet ansøgning • Videnskabelig aktivitet • DKS medlem

  8. Hvem sponsorerer ophold • Covidien, der meddeler St. Michael´s Hospital et grant på $ 70.000 • Løn udbetales af St. Michael´s som 1/12 pr måned af ovenstående beløb • St. Michael´s er ansvarlig for at forsikre den ansatte i relation til det lægelige arbejde • St. Michels er behjælpelig med at finde bolig
