  8. Golden Youth and Sports Development Association

  9. Possible objectives of the association

  10. This would be an “Umbrella” organization for all sports organizations in the community • It would focus on build development programs for the kids from the kids up not the organization down – The unit of currency is the “Kid”

  11. Grant writing services: A central grant writer coordinator for associations that want to get more money for projects but don’t know or have the expertise where to go • Scholarship funds: for those that can’t afford to participate in sport due to financial barriers • Liaison between schools and sports association due to the demise of sport in school and the role it plays in the development of the child at all stages

  12. Coaching development across all sports at all levels • The creation of sports support and development program – cross training for sports in effect (again we have people here we qualified to create and support these programs) • Parental education with regard to child development: LATD: Nutrition etc. • Central services for all organizations: Treasurer etc.

  13. There could be cross communication between sporting groups as the kid transitions between Winter groups and Summer groups so that coaches are aware what need to be works on or developed in the next session. Trying to create continuum of coaching for the athlete.
