Innovative Tablet Charging Robot for Mobility-Impaired Users

This project aims to design a device that transports low-energy tablets to charging stations wirelessly, catering to mobility-impaired individuals. The device offers convenience and addresses safety concerns for users who cannot move to plug in chargers, fulfilling Intel® requirements. We present the project background, mission statement, plan, scope, product design specs, house of quality, risk assessment, and conclusion. This innovative solution is essential in providing accessibility and ease of use for those with limited mobility.

  2. Overview • Project Background • Mission Statement • Project Plan • Project Scope • Product Design Specifications • House of Quality • Risk Assessment • Conclusion

  3. Background • Injured or disabled individuals are confined to their chair cannot move to plug in charger • Inherent Issues: • Risk greater injury • Must move outside prescribed range of motion • Outlet locations are inconvenient

  4. Mission Statement • Provide a device that will intercept a low energy hand-held computer tablet and transport it to a charging station to be reenergized. Also, comply with the requirements of Intel®: • Device must be capable of traveling over hard surfaces and carpet. • Ability to turn up to 180° • Wirelessly travel up to 40 ft • Detailed report highlighting design process and analysis.
