  1. 3 Quick Ideas for a Perfect Seating Plan at Your Wedding If you have a considerably large circle of friends and family whom you must invite to your wedding, then you’re obviously going to need to plan the right seating arrangement. After any invitation list exceeds 50 guests, you just can’t afford to have them seated without a proper plan. Any mismanagement caused by a disorganized seating arrangement would be the last thing someone would want at their wedding. But surely, there can’t be a rulebook for a perfect seating plan, can there? After all, without knowing anything about each and every single one of your guests (and your fiancee’s guests), it’s pretty much impossible to come up with an objectively designed seating plan. Well then, what are we doing here? Good question! We’re not here to hand over a perfect plan, we’re just going to make suggestions for the right tools to make one. Sadly, you have to take the time out of your busy wedding planning schedule to prepare the seating plan yourself. Trust us, that’s the only way to do it right. We’re going to list 3 easy and quick ways to prepare an ideal plan to seat your guests at your wedding. Let’s get started! 1. Seat Design Matters! Let’s start from the very beginning. If you make a hasty and indecisive choice while selecting the seat design for your wedding arrangement, you’ve broken the very first rule of seating your guests: Don’t take the actual seat designs and style for granted! It should always match your wedding theme and should be cozy and luxurious enough to make your guests feel welcome and comfrotable.

  2. If you’re not sure where you to find the best seats for your wedding, Luxe Rentals would be a good place to start (if you’re getting married in Canada or the US). They offer some of the finest event rentals in Montreal, which you can easily browse through on their website. 2. Breaking Down the Guest-list This is going to be a bit complicated, but we have a few suggestions that could help. Start with making a fresh spreadsheet of all your guests and then divide them into separate columns based on your individual relationships with each one of them. This way, you will get a fair idea of who should be matched with whom. It might be a good idea to keep your family on one side and your fiancee’s family on the other. Or, that might not work for you. The truth is, the first few arrangements will be easy as you can group friends and family together. However, keep in mind, the last few tables are critical, and usually have a lot of loose ends, so be very careful with that!

  3. 3. Seating Your Parents Let’s discuss the most important guests at your wedding, your parents. Ideally, you’d want both sets of parent (or however many parents are involved) to be seated at two separate tables with your respective grandparents and with close cousins. However, if your parents are divorced and are not on good terms with one another, seating them at separate tables might be a better choice. In any case, make sure they all are approximately the same distance from you, no matter where they’re seated, to not cause any additional stress.
