  2. PROBLEM • The problem that we are concerned about is immigration. The amount of illegal immigrants are increasing each year in the United States. According to many statistics and facts more then a million illegal immigrants are in the US today.

  3. Dear Senator Carper, • We are writing to address a very serious issue in today's times, Immigration. Looking at information and statistics it shows more then a million illegal immigrants are living in the United States. But we have a proposal for the ones that are here and want to make a difference in there life's, and in there families. We would be pleased if you would write a response to our proposal. • One of our proposals is for The Dream Act to be reenacted. The Dream Act was proposed in 2009. The Dream Act would provide permanent residency to certain illegal student. They must be of good moral, and lived in the United States for five years illegally. The Dream Act, required that they must graduate from High School. Which would give them a great start to life, and would teach them skills they probably can’t learn in their homelands. • Another proposal, is that instead of sending them back to there homelands immediately. You should interview them for certain skills needed in today's world. Such as farmers, nurse, and janitors. For example, Americans today don’t want to do half of the things that immigrants will work for. But before they should apply for citizenship, because to live in America they need to pay taxes like regular citizens. • Thank you so much for reading our proposals. And we would be very much pleased to receive a reply. • Sincerely, • Gretta Gomez & Hannah Pollock

  4. Who & Why? • We sent this to the president of the United States, the two senators of Delaware, and the state representative. • We sent our letter to these four people because we want Delaware & The US to accept these proposals.
