Treaty of Versailles. By: Alex Charae Krista. What?/Where?. After World War One ended in 1918, the Treaty of Versailles, known as the peace settlement, was formed in the hopes to prevent future world wars. The treaty was signed at the Versailles Palace near Paris on June 28, 1919.

3. The League of Nation was formed to prevent future world war.
Eventually, because of the neglect and carelessness of “the Big Three,” Germany was able to rebuild their military.
It is said that the Treaty of Versailles which was intended to restore world peace was actually one of the causes that helped spark World War Two.Long term effects
