  5. Paradigm Shift Emergence of Web 2.0 increased demand for participation, sharedness, openness, collaboration. Development of IT raised need for building various learning environments including resources, tools, and methods. Diversification of needs from users (teacher & student) increased demand for customized services. The trends of globalization and convergence triggered diverse attempts for Collaboration.
