Five Themes of GeographyLocation • Where is a place? • A place’s location can be described in either absolute or relative terms.
Five Themes of GeographyLocation Absolute Location • Gives a specific location or an address for a place. • Examples: • 9695 Schaefer Road.is a specific location…It is where you will find Judson Middle School. • 29°N, 98°Wis a specific location…It is where you will find San Antonio, Texas, USA.
Five Themes of GeographyLocation Relative Location • Gives a place’s location in relation to other places. • Examples: • San Antonio is in Southern Texas. • San Antonio is in the Western United States. • San Antonio is in North America. • San Antonio is east of New Mexico.
