As we start this year let us remember OUR goals and OUR purpose. We are here to support the veterans to the best of OUR ability. I am now into my 7th month as YOUR commander and I believe WE have excelled in all OUR efforts. Teamwork is strong, more comrads are visiting the lounge, and most people are actually getting along!!! My goal is to continue to promote unity and togetherness throughout OUR post. start thinking about nominations for all the Legion Officers. Elections are right around the corner in May. Nominations will start in March. I am here to serve the member of our Post.  Happy Valentine's Day to our ladies.  Every lady that visits the  Post on Valentine's Day will receive a small box of candy!!!! ForGod And CountryRon "BULL" Woolsey 2ndVice Cdr – Continuing our effort to get dances going again, we have Mike Diamond Band playing 23 February 2013 from 8:00PM to midnight. Cost is only $5.00. The kitchen will be offering a nice dinner from 5:30 to 7:30. Please come and support OUR dance. For God and Country – Bill Stouffer 3rd Vice Cdr – February is around the corner, which means, it’s time again to fire up the fish fryers and get back to enjoying some good fried fish, hushpuppies and all the rest of the fine fix-ins that make up Post 240’s fish fry. Fish fries resume on the first Sunday of each month starting with February so, come on out and eat some good food and support your fish fry staff and Post 240. Serving starts at 2:00 pm until the fish is gone. We just completed that and made a few changes. The Executive Committee reviewed and approved the changes to the Constitution and By Laws and Standing Operating Procedures (SOP’s) on December 18, 2012. I did a first reading at the General Membership Meeting on January 8, 2013. I am here by notifying the General Membership that the Constitution and By Laws and SOP’s will be read and put up for final approval voting at the General Membership on February 12, 2013. If you would like a copy of these documents they are posted on the wall in the Lounge for review. Our next ALR meeting will be on February 10th at 1000 am, please be there. We will have our first fun run on March 16th; will put out more details later on.
