Rules • An orbital can hold 2 electrons max. • Aufbau Principle: Lower orbitals and energy levels fill up before higher ones. • Hund’s Rule: All orbitals get one electron before they get a 2nd. • Pauli Exclusion Principle: If two electrons are in the same orbital, they must have opposite spins.
