  3. About Ms. Gerrick • 8th Grade Math and Algebra • I have taught for 3.5 years • I am from Carol Stream, IL • Family : 1 brother- Carl • I got a puppy this summer • Hobbies: Playing basketball, Running, Swimming, playing golf, Hiking, and Reading

Curriculum- Linear Algebra • Carnegie • Quarter 1: Transforming Geometric objects • Transformations, Dilations, Translations, Reflections and Flips • Quarter 2: Developing Function Foundations • Proportions to Linear Relationships • Quarter 3: Continue Developing Function Foundations • Introduction to functions, Patterns, and Solving Linear Equations • Quarter 4: Compound Probability, Expanding the Number system, and Applying powers • Real numbers, Pythagorean theorem, Scientific Notation, and Volume of curved Figures • Textbook: Workbook • Supplies needed: Pencil, AVID Binder, and loose leaf paper • MATHia

Curriculum- Algebra • Carnegie • Quarter 1: Searching for Patterns • Quantities and Relationships, sequences, Linear Regressions • Quarter 2: Exploring Constant Change • Linear Functions, Solving Linear Functions and Inequalities, System of Equations & Inequalities • Quarter 3: Investigating Growth & Decay • Functions Derived from Linear relationships, exponential functions, and exponential equations • Quarter 4: Maximizing and Minimizing and Describing Distributions • Quadratic Functions, One-variable statistics, two variable categorical data • Real numbers, Pythagorean theorem, Scientific Notation, and Volume of curved Figures • Textbook: Workbook • Supplies needed: Pencil, AVID Binder, and loose leaf paper • MATHia

  7. Classwork/Homework • Classwork: completed with collaboration, small group or independent • Homework: Each night students will have assigned problems to extend on learning from classwork.
