Before you are able to print from Chromebook or Desktop, you must load a minimum of $1 on your printing account. To put money on your account, please see Media Center staff. Georgia Peach Award for Teen Readers Visit the media center today to check-out one of the 2017-18 Georgia Peach Award Nominated books! Vote for your favorite 2017-18 Georgia Peach Award Nominated book by March 9, 2018 at http://www.georgiapeachaward.org Checked out a book (either a Peach Award or regular book), fill out a book review and tell us what you think of the book. We will have a drawing, and if your name is drawn then you will win a prize provided by our UG Partners in Education.

  9. Youth Art Camp Saturday, December 2, 2017 9:00 a.m. - Noon We will be completing drawing, painting, and 3D projects!   10. UGHS Teens Teaching Tots Preschool 2018 Registration is now OPEN! Up to 15 students ages 3 – 5 (fully potty-trained) will be able to participate in the Preschool at UGHS. Preschool will be from 8:am – 11:00 am on most Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in Room 404 at UGHS. Registration fee is $150 one time only and FREE tuition. Preschool dates are January 16th – April 27th (excluding school breaks and special testing dates). If interested email Mrs. Bates or visit the UGHS Office.

  21. Elks National Foundation $4,000-$50,000 Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. The Elks National Foundation will award the Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship to 500 of the highest-rated applicants in the 2018 competition. https://scholarships360.org/elks-most-valuable-student-scholarship/ Deadline to apply is Nov 27th.

  23. Henry County Scholarship Foundation Applications due January 31, 2018 (henryscholarships.com) Award amount is $500, $750, or $1000

  24. Eagles Landing Family Practice offering a new scholarship $1,000 scholarship for a local athlete. ELFP, in conjunction with NFL player Hines Ward and Positive Athlete Georgia, are looking to reward student athletes whose accomplishments extend beyond the ball field with the Eagles Landing Family Practice Family Values Award. Anyone can submit an athlete they think is deserving of the scholarship. Visit www.Georgia.positiveathlete.org and select nominate now. The last day to nominate someone is March 16, 2018.

  25. Sinclair L. Joe Memorial Scholarship The Sinclair Joe Legacy Foundation Inc. (“SJLF”) presents the Sinclair L. Joe Memorial Scholarship founded to honor the legacy of Sinclair Joe. Applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. Must have a diagnosis of a debilitating illness (primarily cancer) through themselves, a parent, a sibling, or a parent who has passed away as a result of cancer or other debilitating illness 2. Community service 3. Between the ages of 16 – 20 years 4. GPA of 3.0 or higher 5. Be accepted or in his/her first year of enrollment at an accredited 2 or 4 year college. 6.   26. The University of North Georgia Military Scholarship (UNGMS) pays nearly all college expenses, and recipients actually make $30,000 - $40,000 over four years more than the cost to attend. The deadline for the University of North Georgia Military Scholarship for the 2018-2019 award year is February 1stSee Ms. Watts if interested.

  29. What will you be when you grow up? Still figuring out your future? Can’t decide on a college major? Don’t know what career to pursue? Then the ASVAB Career Exploration Assessment is for you. Register in the counseling office for the December 1st exam. Hurry, seating is limited to a first come, first served basis and IT’S FREE!

  31. Jacksonville State University See Mrs. Watts in the Counseling Office if you are interested in attending Jacksonville State. There are several scholarship opportunities available starting at score of 23 on ACT or 1100 on SAT with a 3.0 grade point average.

  32. Clemson’s Challenge for Academically Talented Students (C-CATS) For High achieving 9th and 10th graders Top-Ranking students will experience weekend adventures offered at Clemson University Interested students should see Ms. Watts in the Counseling Office
