Introductions and Acknowledgements Kristina Nyland Veronica Allen • NPP fellow at NASA Goddard • PhD from Kapteyn Institute at the University of Groningen • ALMA, IRAM • Astrochemical modeling, high-mass star forming regions, protostars, planetary science, extraterrestrial oceans • Will be joining us this afternoon to lead OT tutorials • NRC fellow, resident at NRL • Previously a postdoc at NRAO-CV, ASTRON; PhD from NMT • VLA, ALMA, VLBA, global VLBI, LOFAR, GMRT • Galaxy evolution, AGN, outflows, extragalactic star formation, IMBHs, both low and high redshift • Experience serving on the ALMA Science Review Panel We thank the UMD Astronomy Department for support, and Marc Pound, Peter Teuben, and Alberto Bolatto for their help with workshop logistics and advertising! 2
