Leadership Style • Collaborative: I engage faculty in idea generation and promote the collective vision. • Protective: I protect junior faculty from administrative burdens & balancing workloads. • Facilitative: I facilitate collaborations within and across departments as well as the broader metropolitan and academic communities. • Supportive: I support, mentor, and build up colleagues. • Advocate: I advocate and promote my faculty, putting their needs before my own. • Delegate: I give autonomy to carry out tasks and assignments (not a micro-manager). • Positive:I am optimistic and have a sense of humor; I take feedback well.
