If you act like an ass, you are setting a really bad example for your players and that lead to safety concerns. • Step in if a fellow coach is losing their cool with a player, parent, referee, or fan

  12. Other MW Guidelines • Zero tolerance for players, coaches, and fans. • Coach responsible for fan behavior. Refs will not continue game if inappropriate behavior continues. • All follow-up regarding opposing team, opposing fan or ref issues, ref issues must be through MW coordinator (do not contact MW administration). • Home team keeps official book. • Home coach pays the refs ($40 for each ref. $60 if only 1 ref).

  13. Cancellations • If gyms remain open, it is up to the coaches to decide if they want to postpone. Visiting team has final say. • If the game is postponed, let me know ASAP: • Post online on MW website • Cancel refs • Notify opposing town MW coordinator • Reschedule time • Reschedule referees (refs will get $50 each if rescheduled as 1-game only). • Non-weather rescheduling can be done only if agreed by both coaches (highly discouraged): only other option is forfeit. • Non-weather-related cancellations within 14 days of game result in $100 fine to MW, $80 paid to referees – total of $180.

  30. Coaching Idea • Teams with 11 or 12 players could offer each of their players one game off throughout the season. You would need to make sure only one or two players select the same game, but this could allow families to get away for a weekend and also help you play with a shorter bench. This would be a great task to delegate to a team parent or Assistant Coach.

  31. Upcoming Board Meetings • Thursday, November 19thfrom 7:00 p.m.

  32. Practice Time Draft • We have 50 Practices and 51 Practice Slots • Grades 5, 6, and 7 all have added a 3rd team to either boys or girls or both • 8th Grade have been pre-slotted into the DCD Rand on Thursday nights (Splitting Gym) • 4thGrade Boys and Girls have been pre-slotted into the Downey and Hanlon on Friday Night • 5th Grade Boys have been pre-slotted into the DCD Rand and Primary on Friday Night • Each Grade will draft numbers out of a hat for draft position

  33. Practice Time Draft • 8thGrade Picks 1st followed by 7th, 6th, 5thGirls and then back to 8th through 4th • 2nd time around, reverse order will be used for grades 8 through 5 • It is possible more gyms will become available if CYO releases gym time – we will not know until mid November • Drafting will be made for the Regular Season (This may be different in November and it is your responsibility to know how this impacts your pick)

  34. Practice Time Draft • DCD Rand Gym will be split into 2 slots. It is strongly recommended that A and B teams of the same grade / gender take the gym and combine portions of practice for skills developmenton Friday Late Slot. • Martha Jones may have 1st 15 minutes of 6:00 p.m. practice in ½ of the gym while custodian clears the other half following Extended Day clearing out. This should not be a huge impact, but take it into consideration before selecting MJ. • Once the draft is complete, trades can be made if both coaches agree with the trade. John Cummings will not act as a Trade Broker unless there is serious $$ involved..!!

  35. Practice Time Draft • Let the games begin..!!
