  2. Thank you for your interest in Bluff City Legends. Since our inception, the mission of Bluff City Legends has been to offer an opportunity to empower, motivate, instruct, self-development and educate students athletes through the game of basketball. The information included in this packet is intended to provide you an overview of our history along with the various programs / initiatives that have been created or are in the developmental phase. Additional information has been included pertaining to sporting and outreach events. It is our hope that after reviewing this information, you too will understand that by working together, we have the ability to transform the lives and a society as a whole.

HISTORY OF BLUFF CITY LEGENDS Bluff City Legends is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit sports organization that supports its youth with mentoring to empower social development, education, and self-awareness by proactively creating holistic environments with parents, coaches and the community they live in. Bluff City Legends will enable student athletes to improve their academics and athletics to improve their lives through the game of basketball. The youth in the Bluff City Legends organization will be able to utilize resources and career building opportunities for a better future that will empower academics, and self-development. Name:Bluff City Legends (BCL) Site:www.bluffcitylegends.com Date Formed: August 2009 Location: Memphis, TN Membership: The club membership will be approximately 48 players on our teams as well as between 100 - 300 kids Involved in our camps, clinics and AAU competitive travel. Mission:The purpose of Bluff City Legends (BCL) is to provide our student athletes with a organization that is based around mentorship, academics, athletics and skill development. Loyalty: Commit not only our brand, but value our partners and the communities which we serve and operate in. Integrity: Ensure that Bluff City Legends and partners will operate and communicate with honesty and loyalty. Collaboration: To build relationships and partner with business and organizations to ensure our vision is met. Philosophy: To showcase sportsmanship and teamwork at all times which will ultimate “BUILD” character and humbleness.

  5. Event Sponsorship Opportunities Our Events Bluff City Legends offers a few annual events (1) encourage participation in basketball events and (2) to fund the activities of the club. Our events can only take place with the strong participation and support of our sponsors.

  6. We care for the health and wellbeing of student athletes and can see the positive results that come with being involved in a sport. Our priority is to get athletes involved in competitive physical activity and to help alleviate the ‘couch potato’ mentality that many young people are faced with. Being involved in our organization gives student athletes a sense of belonging, achievement and success that they can then take with them and use in their everyday lives.
