  4. Introduction • The eradication of poverty and the improvement of quality of life(in multicriterialaspects) in allruralareas of the world is a popularapproach and accepted by all. • The agriculturesector to the common goodisseen no longeras mono-functionalbutmulti-functional. • The territory in its widest and most holistic form, together with man with his capacity to analyses, choose and operate together with the “humanity”, which distinguishes him from all other living creatures, should be brought back to the center of strategies used by any development model by using a concrete, operational parameter in order to create the basic conditions for an inalienable “New Renaissance” AGROTRAVEL _CIANI_APRIL 11th_2014

  5. The Relevance of the Territory • The territoryis the physicalsubstrate (soil, arableland, water, forestry, biodiversity, renewableenergy, notrenewableresources, landscape, buildings, infrastructures, etc) whereare layeredeconomic, social, historical and cultural aspects. • The actions of territorial programming and planningas innovative activitiesmust be driving and strongly supported by an appropriate and widespread use of advanced instrumentation of Information and Communication Technology. • In this framework the GIS, GPS, DSS, and Broadband of Internet, should be the key elements of the "user friendly" store of knowledge of the modern management of process of Sustainable Development Strategy. AGROTRAVEL _CIANI_APRIL 11th_2014

  6. The climate change, the processes of urbanization and the resulting the abandonment of many areas from the rural population, agricultural production processes directed towards the large scale, the difficulty of direct intervention in the maintenance of the land by public bodies, could gradually but surely, reduce the function of " catalyst and fuel" for the initiation and improvement of growth for the integrated and sustainable business that is a concrete support for the targets of the MDGs and particularly for the big challenge of SDG 's 2015-2030 and for us European for the Europe 2020, Horizon 2020 and CAP 2014-1020 . AGROTRAVEL _CIANI_APRIL 11th_2014

  7. Therefore, these objectives and issues need to be put into practice both in a local, national and international context of professionals who, from the perspective of "think globally, act locally", have the distinctly modernised know-how and the “ability to act” that match up to the ongoing revolution, known as the third industrial revolution. Above all, they are aware of the strategic prospects of saving the planet through good practices in the processes of the Strategy of Sustainable Development, at the center of which lies the serious global problem of famine and the current phenomena of serious regional food shortages (950 million people live with a daily food calorie level well below the minimum standards, 2 billion live on less than a dollar per day). For the UE to improve the targets of the 2020 perspectives(smart, sustainable, inclusive). 8. The Sustainable Management and Promotion of Territory • My vision is that today, in the face of enormous damage on people and things, that for various reasons they occur, we need to change management strategy. From the "emergency management” and intervention by the State to each harmful event, we need to switch to a phase of “preventive management " that tends to preserve the characteristics and potential of the areas. It aims to encourage best practice at all levels of management and promotion of sustainable land use . • Store but also promote the use direct and indirect safeguarding typical local products and niche, history, culture and "the ability of make” of rural actors. These objectives are fundamental to give to all population in the rural areas further vital lifeblood and sustainability for the future. AGROTRAVEL _CIANI_APRIL 11th_2014

  9. If we manage and promote the territory with today's best practice the use of the updating ICT will be more simple for the population in the rural areas and this could be very important to achieve all targets of the • SDG’s 2015-2030 and the EU Policies. AGROTRAVEL _CIANI_APRIL 11th_2014

  10. Territoryis a Book • The territory is an open book written in an ink that we can not be read as it’s normally. • But we have a duty to make it readable to everyone with an innovative, smart , skilled approach AGROTRAVEL _CIANI_APRIL 11th_2014

  11. With this approach the territory: -shows and represents -tells -speaks -sings -smells -flavor-stimulates feelings, -catalyzes creativity -tickle inventiveness -attracts -inspire-intrigues -……………………………….. AGROTRAVEL _CIANI_APRIL 11th_2014

  41. Intriguing with Kielce According to a local legend, Mieszko, son of Boleslaus II of Poland dreamt he was attacked by a band of brigands in a forest. In the dream he saw a vision of Saint Adalbert who drew a winding line which turned into a stream. When Mieszko woke up, he found the Silnica River whose waters helped him regain strength. He also discovered huge white tusks of an unknown animal. Mieszkoannounced he would build a town and a church to St. Adalbert at that site. According to this legend, the town's name Kielce commemorates the mysterious tusks (kieł) in Polish) AGROTRAVEL _CIANI_APRIL 11th_2014
