  3. Programme commitment level • To date: • 47 main and strategic projects and 35 preparatory project approved • In total 97% of programme budget has been allocated after the 9th call for main applications

  4. Main projects • The NPP 2007 – 2013 Programme Monitoring Committee has approved 47 main project in two priorities:- Priority 1: 30 projects and Priority 2: 17 projects • Programme secretariat has received 91 applications • 8 strategic projects are on-going:- SMALLEST, RASLRES, RTS, TG4NP, ITTS and SECRE, Recruit and Retain and WARES • NPP target for main projects is 40 and 8 strategic project

Preparatory projects • The NPP 2007 – 2013 Programme Monitoring Committee delegated authority to the Programme secretariat to approve preparatory projects and make funding decisions. • The Programme Secretariat has assessed over 70 and approved 35 preparatory projects • Committed funds preparatory projects: € 635 000 (Remaining € 55 000 approx.)

Programme activities • Pre-Announcement Preparatory Project Call that have a view to developing a main project application for a INTERREG VB Northern Periphery Programme through a preparatory project call to be opened on 14th January 2013 and closing March 30th, 2013 See http://www.northernperiphery.eu/en/news/show/&tid=263 • Interreg V NPP planning process: • NPP Planning group meeting – SWOT and PESTLE analysis and Operation Programme development • Ex- Ante evaluator tendered and selection process underway • NPP Annual Conference “Transformation Forum – Creating a Vibrant Northern Periphery” November 15th, Derry-Londonderry, Northern Ireland. • Selection decisions of preparatory projects June 6th, 2013 • Last Lead partner seminar in autumn 2013 for closing projects
