  2. 1 One thing is for sure: Our nation is in trouble- • Loss of moral guidelines • Broken, dysfunctional schools • Collapsed economy • Corruption in leadership (government, business and church)

  3. 2 Two questions to ask: • Why is this happening? • What will we do about it?

  4. 3 Three alternatives to consider: 1) Pretend the problems are not there 2) Recognize that problems exist, but keep our hands from getting ‘dirty.’ 3) Get to work: Restore the foundations, rebuild the city to the glory of God.

  5. Matthew 4:4 ‘It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ “--that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.” Deut. 8:3
