  1. Lora Schwacke Skin To Skin Contact Immediately after giving birth, Childbirth Educator Lora Schwacke says that skin-to-skin contact between mother and child is vital for the baby's health. When the mother spends time holding the baby without the interference of other materials, the baby is able to be more comfortable and to colonize the same bacteria on the skin as the mother.

  2. Lora Schwacke And Her Successful CPA Career Prior to becoming a substitute teacher and birthing coach, Lora Schwacke spent twenty years as a Certified Public Accountant. Working with large companies such as Price Waterhouse, American Express Financial Services, and Chase Home Mortgage Group taught her the skills to later become an effective teacher, through lessons in organization and time management. This career path also taught her the benefits of good social skills and overall management.

  3. How Lora Schwacke Turned A CPA Career Into A Passion For Art Lora Schwacke attended William Paterson University in New Jersey, attaining her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. But it was her minor in Art Education that allowed her to transition from a twenty year Certified Public Accountant career to that of a teacher. In 2004, she moved on from the accounting world to focus on children's education.
