  2. Legislative Branch • The Legislative Branch helps make laws. • The Legislative Branch writes the bills.

  3. Where and when the Legislative Branch Meets • The legislative Branch meets in the U.S. Capitol building. • The legislative branch meets every two odd numbered years.

  4. Senators • The number of senators is 100 • The qualifications to be a senator is you have to be 30 years of age, have to live in the United States for 9 years, and live in the state he or she is representing.

  5. Wisconsin Senators • The term for a senator is every six years. If you want to stay in the Senate the U.S. citizens have to elect you again. • Herb Kohl • Russ Feingold

  6. Presiding Officer • The Presiding officer for the Senate is Joe Biden he has been the presiding officer for a while.

  7. Qualifications to be a Rep. • You have to be 25 years old, you have to live in the U.S. for 7 years, and have to live in the state her or she is representing. • The term to be a representative is two years long. • There are 435 Representatives.

  8. Representatives from Wisconsin • Paul Ryan, Tammy Baldwin, Ron Kind, Gwen Moore, Tom Petri, Dave Obey, Steve Kagen

  9. Presiding Officer • Nancy Patricia D’Alsandro Pelosi is the Presiding officer of the House of Representatives since January 4, 2007.

  10. How Impeachment Works • Impeachment begins in the House of Reprentatives, the house has sole power of impeachment anyway
