Family life holds great significance in Sikhism, as emphasized by teachings from the Guru Granth Sahib. When a baby is born into a Sikh family, the divine name 'Waheguru' is whispered in their ear, symbolizing their connection to God. A special ceremony is held to choose the baby's name, which reflects the community's blessings. This ceremony concludes with sharing karah prasad, a blessed pudding. Rituals such as the Rumala and Chauri being used during prayers highlight the reverence towards their holy scripture, reinforcing the central role of family in Sikh life.
