  3. KARNATAKA NRDMS • Initiated : 1992-93 • Funding : DST - GOI and GOK. • Implementing Agency : KSCST

  4. Objectives: • To create spatial data and its attributes in digital form. • To provide value added spatial information for local level planning • To Establish NRDMS Centers in all the districts of the State. • To conduct regular training programmes and workshops for end users.

DEVELOPMENT OF • KARNATAKA STATE SPATIAL DATA INFRASTRUCTURE (KSSDI) PROJECT • Objectives: • To develop a web based Geo Portal to acquire, process, store, distribute and improve the utilization of geo spatial data (sharing of geo spatial data through internet) for planners, decision makers and public. • Data clearing house which would be a gateway of spatial data being generated by various agencies in the State.

  14. Concept of SDI: Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) is the technology, policies, standards, human resources, and related activities necessary to acquire, process, distribute, use, maintain, and preserve spatial data.
