  2. Early Spring at Griggs Farm Is there anything you can safely plant in early April? YES!!

  3. Plant Pansies… They like sunny, cool weather! April is the best time for them. Don’t wait to bring a little smile to your yard…

  4. Plant Violas… Just like pansies, these little cuties like the cool, sunny days of early spring. A.k.a. Jonny Jump Ups, they might return next year!

  5. Plant Tulips… If you missed planting these bulbs last fall, potted tulips can be planted now, as flowers, and will come back next year.

  6. Plant Daffodils… Like the tulips, these are potted and ready for to be planted in your yard. They will return next year – and what is brighter or nicer than a daffodil in the early spring?!

  7. Plant Hyacinth… Again, these are fall bulbs but we still have potted ones that can be planted now. They can also be brought indoors to make your house smell like, well, our greenhouse! It’s heaven…

  8. Plant Herbs… Herbs can go into the ground now, or can be grown in containers for easy access to your kitchen. They are often perennial, are usually easy to grow, and add color and aroma.

  9. Plant Lamium… A.k.a. White Nancy, this tough little plant shows up early each spring. It is often used in containers, with its pink or white flowers. One more thing…it spreads!

  10. Plant Perennials… Griggs Farm sells hundreds of flowering perennials for all of your landscaping needs. Stop by and we can help you plan a beautiful yard for all seasons. Just samples…
