  1. Internet Marketing Internet marketing has become one of the top sources for advertising. Yellow Pages, magazines, coupon books, newspapers and most printed advertising are becoming obsolete. Looking for your product or service use to be through these types of advertising. Companies like the Yellow Pages held clients hostage with their yearly fees. You would get a small ad that would cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars a month to be in the Yellow Pages. The Yellow Page book has gotten smaller and smaller each year. If you wanted to find something you pulled out the big yellow book. If a company grew and moved to a larger place, you could not change your address with Yellow Pages until the next years printing. You can change your advertising online at any time. Yellow Pages are difficult to track and have limited tracking options. Online marketing offers extensive tracking options. Yellow Pages reach can only go so far, and if you advertise in more than one directory it can get very expensive. Online marketing has an unlimited reach and is very cost effective. Searches with Yellow Pages were done just that way through the actual book. With today’s technology we have cell phones, tablets, and computers to find what we want, and it is almost instantaneous.

  2. Coupons have always been a source for people to save. Newspapers, local coupon books, and magazines still offer these deals, but with the growth of Groupon and Living Social and dozens of other online deals out there it has made clipping coupons a thing of the past. You now have the ability to download your coupons on your cell phones and tablets. Through the internet and search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing the amount of people that can actually find a type of company they are searching for is 5-10 times higher. 76% of people begin their search for a business on the internet, and 97% of consumers search for businesses online. As the Yellow Pages get smaller and smaller the search engines get more traffic. It has become apparent that the internet is the place to advertise.
