This report outlines the development of the XML Sequence Listing project, from initial draft to public consultations and collaboration with key database providers. Summarizes feedback, updates, and future plans for submission to WIPO in September 2013.

Report • First Draft agreed in March 2012 • Public consultations by some offices till August 2012 • Processing of the comments till December 2012 • Adaptation of the First Draft to the public comments • Since December 2012, JPO, USPTO and EPO engaged discussion with the Database Providers DDBJ, NCBI and EBI respectively

Summary of the results from the Public Consultations (2/2) • Comments related to: • The text of the new proposal • all comments have been considered in the revised texts of the proposal - typically minor • The implementation of the standard • Transition issues, drafting of the new format, ... • as such not under the responsibility of the Task Force, will be taken into account when drafting an advice for the MIA and PCT Working Group
Roadmap • Due to delays in the contacts with the DB providers, revised roadmap • Round 6 • extended till end of June 2013 • if required, closed with a Task Force Meeting to finalize the Draft (date and venue to be confirmed) • Final round of revisions, during summer 2013 • Submission of the documents to WIPO in September 2013
