Hunger Solutions Minnesota has been dedicated to ending hunger for 20 years, conducting comprehensive research on the issue in the state. With 35 million people facing hunger nationwide, the organization highlights the chronic problem in Minnesota, where 8.2% of households are hungry daily. Despite increased food shelf visits and costs amounting to $1.1 billion annually, responses such as state funding, federal nutrition programs, and outreach initiatives are implemented. Efforts are needed to pass the new Farm Bill, increase food shelf funding, and extend food support outreach to address the growing hunger crisis in America.
