  1. Nychos and CITY STATES - A New Frontier In Wearable Street Art Fashion With its distinctive ethos that prizes free movement up, down and around the fashion spectrum, CITY STATES continues to innovate in the space of street art clothing, well into 2020. This much is in evidence with one glance at such recent additions to our wearable street art fashion range as the washed black Nychos Icon cotton t-shirt and the soft cream Mind Blown t-shirt, both of which sport a relaxed fit while incorporating embroidered and screen printed artworks. These t-shirts have been created in collaboration with the Austrian street artist Nychos, as have such offerings as the black to grey dégradé Heart in Hand t-shirt and the Four Skeletons unisex double loopback sweatshirt in ash grey. In fact, you’ll find garments across the present CITY STATES range that have been styled by the celebrated graffiti artist. So what makes this linkup between one of the leading contemporary fashion brands and such a legendary urban creative such a significant one? How could one sum up Nychos?

  2. Well, there are many ways. A native of the city of Bruck an der Mur, Nychos is noted for his approach to illustration and street art that embraces dissection, cross-section, x-ray and translucent aesthetics. Consequently, his works have been exhibited around the world. Indeed, Nychos’ role has extended well beyond fusing together elements of graffiti, heavy metal, cartoons and anatomy in his own pieces. That’s because he also founded street art and communication agency, the “Rabbit Eye Movement”, in 2005, and “THE WEIRD” crew – consisting of DXTR, HrvB, Vidam, Cone, Frau Isa, Look, Rookie and The LowBrows – in 2011. Although he resides today in Vienna, Nychos grew up in an Austrian hunter’s family, and his formative experiences – witnessing things that most people would regard as cruel and brutal – strongly influenced his later street-art style involving dismembered and anatomically shown human and animal figures. Be outside the system, with our latest urban clothing creations CITY STATES could scarcely be more delighted to be continuing its already well-honed practice of working alongside some of the world’s most captivating and eclectic creatives, by partnering with Nychos. Invest in the wearable street art fashion that balances an individualistic vibe with the recognition of the worth of shared identity, by purchasing our latest limited-run t-shirts, sweatshirts, knits and hoodies, furnished with the genius of Nychos. CITY STATES ships to the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States, for the appreciation of discerning enthusiasts who value globally-minded urban clothing that makes as much sense to wear as it does to collect.
