  2. Background and Education Isaac Newton was born on 4 January 1643 in England. Newton’s birthday was recorded as Christmas Day Newton died on March 20, 1727 in London From the age of twelve Newton went to The Kings School, Grantham In June 1661 he was admitted in Trinity College Made a huge impact on mathematics and physics

  3. Contributions to math He’s famous for analytical geometry of drawing tangents to curves (differentiation) and defining areas bounded by curves (integration). Not only did Newton discover but he discovered general methods of resolving problems of curvature, embraced in his "method of fluxions" and "inverse method of fluxions

  4. Contributions to math con’t In 1665, he discovered the generalized binomial theorem and began to develop a mathematical theory. The method of fluxions Invented calculus

  5. Contributions to math con’t Principia published in 1687 During two to three years of wok he prepared Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy commonly known as the Principia, although this was not published until 1687. Opticks in 1704 Opticks established itself, from about 1715, as a model of the interweaving of theory with quantitative experimentation.

  6. My opinion In my opinion I think Newton was a great mathematician because of all his contributions to all the different math fields
