  1. Character Trait Analysis:Eunice Alejandro García Vladimir Noda Heidy Sanchez Period 4

  2. Personality • “What’s the matter honey? Are you lost?” Pg. 14 • This leads the reader to believe that Eunice was generally kind to other people, and had no problem with helping a stranger out. • “I’m all right. Tell Steve to get him a poor boy’s sandwich ‘cause nothing’s left here.” Pg. 13 • This is followed by general laughter, showing the reader that Eunice does indeed have a sense of humor in spite of the not-so-ideal economic situation they are in.

  3. Wants/Desires/Ambitions • “I understand you are going on a trip…I’m green with envy.” Pg. 133 • Eunice would gladly take the opportunity to leave the French Quarter or New Orleans altogether, even if on a simple vacation. • “Such a pretty blue jacket.” Pg. 133 • Eunice enjoys nice clothing like any other woman, and probably wishes she had the money to buy some new clothes.

  4. Relationships With Other Characters • “What else could you do?...Don’t ever believe it. Life has to go on. No matter what happens, you’ve got to keep on going.” Pg. 133 • Eunice’s relationship with Stella is very close, and she cares deeply for her well-being. She even builds a decent friendship with her sister, Blanche. • “I heard about you and that blonde!...I seen you chasing her ‘round the balcony—I’m gonna call the vice squad!” Pg. 74 • Although Eunice and Steve have a rocky relationship, they do end up forgiving each other, as shown in page 78.

  5. Appearance • “The white woman is Eunice.” Pg. 13 • Self Explanatory • (Not enough description on Eunice to give more information)
