Get out your History Spiral and turn to the first page. 3. Title the first three pages Table of Contents 4. On page one write the following on the first line: Date Title Entry # 8/27 First Day of School Notes 1 8/27 Off the Wall Scavenger Hunt 2 8/29 Mapping Physiographic Features of the U.S. 3

  2. Pair Work: Conversation:Discuss activity with your partner. Conversation should only be about the assigned task. Help:1. read the instructions again. 2. Look in your reference materials (binder). 3. Discuss your question with your partner. Then raise your hand or come to my desk for my help but continue working. Activity:Completed written responses in complete sentences (not just answers). Ex. The Atlantic Ocean is the … Movement:May get out of seat to sharpen pencil or to come to my desk to get another slip/picture without permission. Participation:Sit up. Work only on assigned task. BOTH partners working together, sharing ideas, contributing, and focused on the assigned task. No personal conversations.

  3. Mapping the Physiographic Features of the U.S. #3 1. Number your paper to 16 (skipping 3 lines between each) It is ok if you have to go to the next page. In my spiral I have 1-8 on one page and 9-16 on the next.

  4. Mapping the Physiographic Features of the U.S. #3 Directions: 1. You and your partner will come to me to get a question. 2. You will take it back to your seat, copy the question, and use the maps to answer • You will bring me your answer and if it is correct you will get the next question • After you have answered all the questions you will come to me to get a blank map. You will then label and color code all your answers. Maps to Use: Desk map, page A8 and A9 in the blue textbooks
