  18. Assignment feedback • A few folks were late with assignment 1, which was due on Friday. • A few overlooked the questions at the end of assignment 1 and 2. • A few did not turn in the survey completion printout. • Only 20% of you answered the question at the end of assignment 3!

  22. iPhone with a finger print reader To possible futures: It’s a dud and does not matter much to anyone. It catches on and is used for authenticating transactions in stores and online as well as opening your phone. Do you want a fingerprint reader on your phone?

  24. Quiz feedback • Better but not very good … I do not have the feeling you are studying two hours for every hour in class. • I asked about a MOOC that I had described in a blog post. One person got it. Why? Why did I ask the question? • I asked you to name three input devices on an iPhone or other modern phone. Some answers that indicate misconception on computer components : • Email • Earphones • Thumb drive What is wrong with each of these answers?

  32. Old assignment feedback • #5 – a few people misinterpreted the question, giving different data types (types of data) instead of types of file. If their answers were reasonable, I gave them credit. Here is an outline that pulls it all together: • Files contain programs or data: • Programs • Data types: • Audio • Numeric • Image • Text • Video • Etc. Misconception alert

More assignment feedback • Almost all of your favorite blog posts were among the first few. • Some are still confused on clients and servers. • Some people did not work in teams. • Just turn in one copy of group assignments with all member names on it. Why do I insist that you do some assignments in teams?
