RAD’s “System on an SFP” • System housed in standard SFP cage • Quick and simple way to add different interfaces to most of Ethernet devices, with MSA-compatible socket • Saves on space, power, cabling, and simplifies management and deployment • Simple, cost-effective alternative to standalone boxes • MiTOP-E1/T1 is a Pseudowire gateway

MiTOP - Miniature TDM Over Packet Product Features • SFP-based TDM pseudowire gateway, offering TDM circuit emulation over a packet-switched network (PSN) • CESoPSN (RFC 5086) and SAToP (IETF RFC 4553) payload encapsulation • Converts Framed or Unframed E1/T1 link to Fast Ethernet (UDP/IP, MPLS or MEF format) • Configurable jitter buffer (up to 256ms) • Packet reordering • ASIC-based architecture minimizes processing delay • Advanced clock distribution mechanism

LAN connectivity • Done through the SFP edge connector (100BaseFX) • Maximum Ethernet frame length supported is 2k bytes Flow Control and Fault propagation • Optional Flow control mechanism is activated when packet traffic exceeds the E1/T1 capacity (pause packets sent towards 100BaseFX port) (Could effect clock and jitter performance) • E1/T1 loss of signal (LOS/LOF) is propagated to LAN: • Sends an electrical LOS signal to the 100BaseFx port • Visually indicated by the LOS LED (red) turning on. • Automatically turns off the LAN (If feature is enabled, the Ethernet PHY will be shut down)

SFP-CAUSB Configuration Adaptor for SFP configuration • SFP-CA will have two applications: • It will allow the user to connect the MiTOP to a PC and configure it with Browser/WEB application • It will allow the user to connect the MiTOP to a PC and download SW with Hyper Terminal (by Y-Modem) • One side of the dongle is USB (to the PC) and other side is an SFP socket for MiTOP • The SFP-CA is a Plug Play device based on USB Standard protocol, No special SW for PC
