Training for Success/Programme Led Programme -Current Framework • APPRENTICES ARE WITH TRAINING PROVIDER FOR APPROX 3 DAYS PER WEEK CHANGES FROM SEPTEMBER 2011 – NEW CONTRACTS WILL BE ISSUED MAY 2011 • WORK EXPERIENCE (IF AVAILABLE) ONE DAY PER WEEK • TRAINING ALLOWANCE £40 PER WEEK • 52 WEEK DURATION • PROGRESSION TO • ApprenticeshipsNI(employer required) www.etcni.org.uk

ApprenticeshipsNI - Current Framework • Currently All Age apprenticeships – 16 – 60+ CHANGES FROM SEPTEMBER 2011 – NEW CONTRACTS WILL BE ISSUED MAY 2011 • Employer led from day one (wages paid by employer) • Apprentice completes: - Technical Certificate – either City & Guilds or Level 3 Diploma (day release) - NVQ Level 2 (either in workplace or day release) - Essential Skills either Numeracy, Literacy, ICT (only if they haven’t achieved a GCSE A*-C Grade in relevant qualification - Progression to NVQ Level 3 & completion of Technical Certificate. - Timescale – 3-4 years www.etcni.org.uk
