  2. The Place and the People Montepulciano is one of the most beautiful medieval hill towns in Italy, in the heart of Tuscany Meet new friends and experience the Italian way of life

  3. Program Description • Spend 12 WEEKS in MONTEPULCIANO, in the heart of Tuscany. • Learn Italian by engaging in interactive courses team-taught by KSU faculty and experienced instructors from the local language school “Il Sasso.” • Explore the area and major sites through guided tours. A two-day trip to Rome is included, and participants have the opportunity to travel independently over the weekend

  5. When? August 25 – November 16, 2013

  6. Courses Students enroll in 4 or 5 beginning to advanced Italian courses for a total of 12-15 credit hours

  7. Fulfill your Major FL requirement: Start from zero, and complete: ITAL 1001, Ital 1002, ITAL 2001, ITAL 2002 and ITAL 4490 Or Start as an intermediate student and fulfill your Minor in Italian Studies requirements

  11. Site Visits and Weekend Trips Weekends are free to travel Typical destinations include: Rome, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Venice, Verona…

Program Costs $5,500 for 12 weeks Includes: Includes: Housing, course materials, one meal per day, guided tours and excursions of surrounding areas, overnight trip to Rome with visits to museums, and emergency insurance. Airfare is NOT included. Tuition is paid separately. Cost is subject to change.
