  26. Our Trip to Croke Park • In September 2008, the Ladies Gaelic Football Association ran a poster competition in each county that was participating in the All Ireland finals on final day on Sept 28. • The task was to design a poster in support of your county. (Clare played in the Intermediate final) • Lucy Cotgreave (5th class) won first prize in the competition and as a result, received 20 tickets for the final and 5 footballs for our school!!! • Well done Lucy and you can see her winning poster on the next slide.... • And so on Sunday the 28th of September, we headed to Dublin and had a fantastic day.... (but Clare didn’t win)

  27. Our Trip to Croke Park Here is Lucy’s winning poster which is proudly displayed on our Sports Notice Board... Well Done Lucy! To view our trip to Croke Park, click here. (This is a Windows Media file and will open in Windows Media player or Real Player)

  28. Finally..... • In the next two weeks, both the Senior Camogie team and the Senior Hurling team of our GAA club (Cora Chaitlín) are competing in their respective county finals. Scoil na Maighdine Mhuire has nurtured the talents of many of those players competing. • We wish them all the best of luck in their quest for glory!!! UP THE BLUES!!!!!!! Tá súil againn gur bhain tú taitneamh as an dturas timpeall ár scoil. Slán agus go raibh míle maith agat.
