Subjective On 01-13-11, 0 YO reports to hospital complaining of light sensitivity and poor vision Keeps seeing an “orange octopus” (+) FHx of crossed eyes – father and aunt are both stereoblind (+) FHx of moderate myopia – mother wears SiHySCL’s of about -6.00 D (dK > 100) Thinks vision is blocked by thick placenta for 36 hour labor

  3. Objective • Foreign bodies in umbilicus, later identified as falafel • Weight: 9 lbs 0 oz • Height: 20.25” • Body Mass Index: 15.8 • Iris Color: Brown • Refractive Error: Unable to test due to REM sleep • Hirshberg Reflex: 0.5 mm temporal • Fundus: Moving around a lot

  4. Assessment • Gender: XY on 23rd chromosome • Perceptual Cephalopodopathy • Dyschromatopsia (everyone knows octopi aren’t orange!) • No octodactyly (only ten digits up and down)
