  5. Preventative Maintenance • Plumbing • Check for leaks • Wrap with insulation to prevent winter freezing • Fireplace • Clean chimney to avoid flue fires • Dryer • Clean filter before each use • Rain Gutters • Clean out in the spring and the fall

  6. Corrective Maintenance • Repair where ceiling has leaked • Replace shingles • Cover spot with Kilz • Repaint

  7. Cleaning • Door mats can make cleaning a room easier • Changing the sheets is usually a weekly chore
