This workshop, held from June 28-30, 2011, was designed to boost participants' abilities in crafting impactful concept notes for funding opportunities. Led by Yushuf Sharker and Dorothy Southern from ICDDR,B, attendees engaged in sessions covering proposal writing, research design, ethics, and scientific writing. By the end of the workshop, participants developed a draft concept note ready for collaboration and submission, alongside improved skills in scientific writing and an understanding of funding processes.

Workshop Objectives • To increase the capacity of participants to understand the format, content and appropriate style for writing concept notes for funding opportunities • To guide the participants through the process of developing a concept notes for funding opportunities
Workshop Outcome • A draft concept note that can be shared with co-investigators, collaborators and supervisors before being submitted for a funding opportunity. • Increase in improved scientific writing and statistical skills and knowledge about accessing funding opportunities.
