14. 1)由that引导的宾语从句 1许多人相信到2100年，我们将生活在火星上。Many people believe (that) we will live on the planet Mars by the year 2100. 2 我们都知道地球变得越来越拥挤和污染 。 We all know (that) Earth is becoming more and more crowded and polluted. 3我肯定太空旅行会使人感到不舒服 。 I’m sure (that) the journey to Mars will make people feel uncomfortable. that 在句中无词汇意义，在从句中不能充当成分， 在口语中常省略。常用在know, believe, think, hope 等动词后，也可用于certain,sure,sorry等形容词后。

15. ★动词find,feel,make,believe等后面有宾语补足语的时候,则需要用it做形式宾语而将that宾语从句后置.I think it necessary that we take plenty of hot water every day .我认为每天多喝开水是有必要的.We all find it important that we (should) read the oral tests every day . 我们都认为对每天读口试很重要. ★主句的谓语动词是think,believe等,从句的否定 词一般要转移到主句上来.I don’t think that he will come to my party. 我认为 他不会来我的舞会.I don’t believe that man is killed by Jim.我认为那个人不是Jim所杀的。

16. 2)whether, if 引导的宾语从句 1我们想知道我们是否能在火星上种植植物。We are wondering if/whether we can grow plants on Mars. 2你能告诉我是否有很多人愿意搬到火星上生活？Can you tell me if/whether there will be many people willing to move to Mars? 3他问江先生是否已把机器人还给了商店。He asked whether Mr.Jiang had returned the robot to the robot shop . if/ whether “是否”，说明对陈述内容的不明确或不清楚。常用在ask, wonder, doubt ,can(could) you tell me 等后，一般情况下if和whether可以相互替换 。

17. 只能用whether不能用if的情况 1.与or not或or 连用时； I wonder whether the robot will bring us good changes or not. He was not sure whether he would change a new robot or just get his money back. 2.用在介词后面 Mr. Jiang was worried about whether his flat would be in a mess 3.用在动词不定式前： He is not sure whether to move to Mars. 4.宾语从句提前时： Whether it rains or not, I will visit my grandparents.

18. 3)由连接代词who, whom,whose,which,what 和连接副词 where,how,why,when引导的宾语从句 我想知道他在哪买的机器人。 I wonder where he bought the robot. 江先生不知道如何处理这个机器人。 Mr Jiang didn’t know what he should do with the robot/how he should deal with the robot. 你能告诉我谁会修理机器人吗？Can you tell me who will repair the robot? 代词或副词连接主句和从句，并在从句中担任句子成分，具有一定的意义，不可省略。常用在ask , wonder, Can you tell me 等后面。

19. ★当what, who, which在从句中作主语, 语序不变： Who is your best friend? Which is his favourite book?What’s wrong? What’s the matter?What’s happening? eg:Can you tell me who has traveled to the space? I’d like to know which boots are suitable for you. ★I don’t know what happened to him. ★He’s not sure what’s wrong with his robot. (二）语序：陈述句语序 (主+谓+其他成分) Can you tell me_______________________ (飞到火星上要花多长时间) how long it will take to fly to Mars Do you know ___________________(他在等谁) who he is waiting for?

20. 主句一般现在时，从句根据实际情况使用各种时态。主句一般过去时，从句使用相应的过去事态。一般现在时： 一般将来时：现在进行时： 一般过去时：现在完成时： （三）时态： 过去将来时 一般过去时 过去完成时 过去进行时 过去完成时 ★从句说明的是一般真理、客观事实、自然现象、 名言时，仍用现在时。 The teacher told us that light travels fast than sound. He said that the sun rises in the east. ★当主句为一般过去时,从句中有具体的过去时间状语时,一般不用过去完成时,而是用一般过去时. He said (that)he bought the robot two weeks ago.
