  1. Section 1 review 1. Today people make petitions to try to perswade others to want the same thing. If these people make lies in these petitions, they could be in trouble for liableness. Liable is like slander (which is lies by word of mouth) but printed or written. 2. Because people wanted to protect there civil liberties. 3.Libel is a printed lie, and slander is a spoken lie. 4.Freedom of speech, because a lot of people have a big mouth and there would be so many people in trouble. 5.
