This study evaluates anterior chamber and intraocular lens (IOL) position in pseudophakic patients during accommodation at various postoperative time points. Results indicate changes in anterior chamber depth with accommodation stimulus. Statistical analyses were conducted on data from patients at different stages post cataract surgery.

Purpose • To evaluate the anterior chamber and the intraocular lens (IOL) position in pseudophakic patients during accommodation.
Patients and Methods • A total of 120 pseudophakic patients in different postoperative time points (7, 30, 180, 360 days) were included in this study. All patients that underwent standard phacoemulsification and implantation of a multipiece IOL in the capsular bag were evaluated using Scheimpflugimages. The fixation target was changed from 0 D to 5 D to stimulate accommodation. Two sessions in each accommodative status (0 D and 5 D) were performed in each patient.
Patients and Methods • Data from anterior keratometric, elevation and pachymetric maps, anterior chamber volume and depth were analyzed and compared in two this accommodative status. • Statistical Analysys: t test, ANOVA
Conclusion • Accommodation stimulus changes IOL position reducing the anterior chamber depth in patients recently submitted to a standard phacoemulsification
