  2. CTS Initiatives Schedule • The CTS Initiatives Schedule provides a consolidated view of the work going on at CTS. This includes: • new service inquiries and existing service reviews • organizational initiatives • projects underway • The schedule is a working document and is used: • internally to assist CTS to prioritize work and ensure activities are in alignment with current customer needs, the agency strategic plan, and/or the strategies of the State of Washington. • by our customers to provide visibility into status of past requests as well as initiatives being considered for the future.

  5. New Service Inquiries • CTS follows the Service Inquiry process to address new requests for services from our customers. The process is intended to have a quick, high level assessment of the request or inquiry. • Below are the current New Service Inquiries underway: • Identity Management Strategy • Mobile Device Management (MDM) • ListServ Replacement • Tier 4 Storage • Lync • SharePoint • IDaaS (Identity as a service) • Wi-Fi • Public Cloud Brokering • Infrastructure as a Service

  6. Service Reviews CTS reviews existing services on an ongoing basis to ensure services to identify potential delivery improvements. Below are the current service reviews underway: • Transact Washington™ Sunset • Load Balancing Expansion • Directory Server Upgrade • RSA multi-factor authentication / SAW Integration • Switched Long Distance → SCAN Implementation • Site to Site VPN Consolidation • K20/UW Network Transfer • Campus Fiber Network Sunset • Mainframe Strategy Optimization • TeamSite Strategy Review

  7. SDC Projects • This section of the schedule provides high level visibility into the twelve SDC related projects. More detailed information about these projects is available on the SDC Projects page. • Below are the SDC Project: • SDC Program • SDC Facilities Build-out • OB2 Heat Reduction • SDC Network Core Infrastructure • SDC Storage Infrastructure • SDC Firewall Infrastructure • CTS Move Phase 1 • CTS Cloud “utility” • Virtual Tape Library • Washington State Patrol (WSP) Phase 1 • CTS Move Phase 2 • OB2 Data Center Optimization

CTS is a fairly new agency and is undergoing several organizational initiatives, including improving customer service, performing opportunity analysis, making investments in our workforce, and developing a communications plan. Below are the CTS Organizational Initiatives: Review and Update CTS Policies Improve Incident Notification Implement Workforce Initiatives Define Strategy for Performance Measure tracking and reporting Update Strategic Plan Develop CTS Roadmap Establish Lean Program Implement Communications Plan Governor's Directive 13-02 Coop Preparation CTS Organizational Initiatives

CTS Internal Projects • This section captures the work performed to support the technology needs for operating the agency. • Below are the CTS Internal Projects currently underway: • CTS Applications Phase 2 - New/Update Apps • Apptio Roll-out • SharePoint Phase 1 (Clean Up) • SharePoint Phase 2 (Migration to 2013)

  10. Support OCIO IT Strategies • CTS provides support to the Office of the Chief Information Officer’s (OCIO) related to the strategies described in the OCIO’s Technology Strategy Document.

Completed/Closed Initiatives • The final section of the schedule includes initiatives that have been completed/closed: • Security Decision Package • GalSync (a specific feature of FIM) • Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) • Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTPS) • Remote Access • Enterprise Forward Proxy (EFP) • Netwitness DAS Expansion • SOC Roadshow • Optimize FWSM rules to reduce load • Private Branch Exchange • Redundant Network connection OB2-SDC • Lean Initiative - Billing with DES • Support Cloud-based E-mail and Collaboration • Process Improvement of Monitoring and Alerting • Identify Critical Infrastructure • Upgrade Mobile Devices • Upgrade Workstations to Windows 7 and Office 2010 • CTS Applications Ph 1 - Database Update
